2016 Clovis Legends of Motorsports Inductees
Herman HuttonHerman Hutton was one of the outstanding drivers of the 1950s through the 1970s era of Hard Top and Modified Racing. Herman was among a group of drivers who raced throughout California in the glory days of a Hard Tops, racing several times a week in front of huge crowds. His son Bobby continues the Hutton Legacy by being very active in the Legends of Kearny Bowl Vintage Group. A large number of vintage race cars will be on display, including his father's famous #45 Hard Top at the July 16th Clovis Park in the Park gathering at Treasure Ingmire park.

Wayne SumnerWayne Sumner comes from a very prominent local motorcycle racing family. The Sumner name goes back 75 years in the motorcycle industry. The family was one of the early leaders in motorcycle sales and service in the San Joaquin Valley. Wayne was a very accomplished racer and raced until he was 78 years young, hanging up his helmet just 3 years ago. Whether on a short track, the big miles or on a road coarse he was known as a very tough competitor. His 61Y that he raced at Willow Springs will be on display on July 16th.
